Writers' groups met, shared and discussed DEJs on Anne Lamott's "Short Assignments" and "Shitty First Drafts" (Lamott 16--27) and on Freedom Writers and the related handout.
Groups presented a favorite entry with the class for discussion.
DUE DATES
THURSDAY, September 24: First draft to share with writing group.
FRIDAY, September 25: First writers' group meeting to share drafts.
Remember: every Monday, students should have a new reading log and a new DEJ on independent reading ready to share. Every Thursday, students should upload a new draft to share on Friday.
